Hydropower plants with critical duration curves are usually very expensive and have low productivity; for this reason, we decided to study an alternative, applying Pelton, Francis and Kaplan turbines with variable speed technology on hydropower plants. In 2012 we have installed and commissioned the first variable speed Pelton turbine, for the exploitation of the head created by an artificial dam in Forte Buso (Italy).<\/div> <\/div> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_auto imgsize_cover vc_row-fluid\"><div class=\"l-section-h g-html i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols offset_none\"><div class=\"
