Hydropower is a consolidated technology, but it requires continuous investment in research to increase turbines and equipment reliability and efficiency. For this reason we invest a great deal of energy in fluid-dynamics testing, in the analysis of materials and in the production processes, using cutting-edge technologies, which enables us to make our goals come true.<\/h4>\n<\/div> <\/div> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

Cooperation with the University of Padua<\/h2>\n

In 2011, in cooperation with the University of Padua, we have started a research project on the development of variable speed hydraulic turbines. Hydropower plants with critical duration curves are usually very expensive and have low productivity; for this reason, we decided to study an alternative, applying Pelton, Francis and Kaplan turbines with variable speed technology on hydropower plants. In 2012 we have installed and commissioned the first variable speed Pelton turbine, for the exploitation of the head created by an artificial dam in Forte Buso (Italy).<\/div> <\/div> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>
