Post event – Africa 2017
The Conference Africa 2017 – Water Storage and Hydropower Development for Africa, took place in Marrakech from 14th to 16th March.
67 countries were represented, of which 31 from Africa, with over 700 delegates. The conference programme, with 23 sessions and workshops, touched every theme of hydropower, from storage, to development to small hydro technologies.
During session 18 on Thursday 16 March, we presented our paper: “Techno-Economic feasibility analysis for energy production by variable speed Francis turbines in water distribution networks”, carried out to analyze and understand the effectiveness and the potential of this technology in terms of economic and technical value.
